Thursday Night Music Club 10th Annual Jazz Showcase Concert in Tallahassee

Join the musicians of Thursday Night Music Club for their Tenth Annual Jazz Showcase Concert on Thursday, August 17th at 7:30 PM in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. This is their first show in the big house and they want to fill it with loyal and new fans! Tickets are still just $5.00!

Get tickets from band members, at MusicMasters, or at the door. TNMC plays a variety of repertoire including jazz, swing, funk, blues, rock, and Latin jazz arrangements for jazz ensemble.

There are several TNMC that play in the TCC Jazz Band, let’s turn out and support them and the rest of the band.

Parking

Parking can be a problem, so get there early.  In the past, we have parked in one of the small lots south of the capital (on the east side of Monroe).  There are state parking lots and garages available (e.g., at the corner of Bronough and Gaines or Gaines and Lafayette).
Accessible parking spaces are available immediately across from the old Capitol building.

Golden Jubilee Concert Video

Marking a half-century of performing band music, the Capital City Band presents our Golden Jubilee Concert. The featured work is “A Big Bend Rhapsody” composed and conducted by Robert Thurston, a Tallahassee native and chief arranger/composer for the United States. Air Force, 2007-2014. Commissioned by the band, this is the premier performance of the work. Some performers tonight pioneered the newly-formed band way back in 1966 and 1967. Now that’s dedication! Dozens more have cheerfully shown up for Monday rehearsals for 20 to 30 years. Enjoy our 50th Anniversary Concert.
